Whenever I harvest for weddings, I always set aside the very best for the bride. That’s what you’re looking at here: my “best of the best” handful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI adore this peony because it’s the perfect blush. Not too cool (like so many peonies can be) and not too yellow either. Before it fully opens, the buds have this distinct soft green halo that makes it easy to identify during harvest and in storage (a little detail I’ve come to love).
