Carrots can be a little tricky, but there are a few tips and tricks to growing them well. Carrots like loose, aerated soil. To accomplish this we either plant in raised beds or rows worked deeply with a broadfork. Carrots are not heavy feeders and in fact too much nitrogen causes them to form deformed or hairy root structures. Seedlings can take a while to germinate. It's important to keep the soil from drying out prior to emergence. Finally, thin seedlings to 3/4–2" apart, depending on desired root size.
Packet contains approximately 300 seeds.
