Chocolate Lace Flower (Dara) is a must-grow for anyone after that coveted garden style design. Its lacy umbels ranging in chocolate, berry, blush, and white pair with nearly everything, adding airy, romantic texture. Incredibly productive, each plant produces multiple blooms throughout the summer. Stems are sturdy, long lasting, and a delight to work with.

How to Grow

Sow indoors 4–16 weeks before transplanting out. Can also be direct sown. Cooler temperatures of 58–62°F are best for seedling establishment. Tip: Chill seeds at 40–45°F for 1–2 weeks prior to sowing for improved germination. 

Harvest

Fresh: Harvest when flowers have fully opened and lie flat. Harvesting before 80% of flowers are open reduces water uptake and causes flowers to wilt. Dried: When the flowers are fully open and with no hint of pollen shed.

Expected vase life: 6–8 days.
