IMPORTANT NOTE: This is is an open-center version of Babylon Bronze (which we also grow). Normally, we cull any dahlia cultivars that are consistently throwing open centers (if that cultivar is not supposed to have an open center).
This is a rare exception, because I fell in love with this dahlia. I *adore* the open-center version🫠. Her colors are literally magical, and she gets those cutie curlycues I’m obsessed with. She's also super early, one of our first to flower. This particular variation is almost *always* more coral/soft pink than our regular Babylon Bronze but both have variations throughout the season. I've kept her for 5 seasons and she's consistently like this.
I wrote more about her on Instagram here, which you can read, and asked around if A) folks would want her and B) if it would be acceptable to share her. The resounding answer was yes. However, I want to be immensely transparent that this is an open-center dahlia not true to the original form!
Also: Babylon Bronze is a so-so tuber producer (which is why I think she's so hard to find) and her necks can be skinny and less-than perfect looking tubers. Please be aware of this prior to purchasing (over time, we've improved the tubers for this gal through selection).
