Fritillaria ‘Meleagris Mixed’

I first saw these dainty flowers at Floret Flowers and they were so unique, I knew I had to grow them. Also referred to as The Guinea Hen Flower, their intricately checkered petals are said to resemble the pattern of guinea hen feathers. The pendant, bell-shaped blooms come in a gorgeous mix of ivory and muted maroon. And get this: this heirloom dates all the way back to 1575!
