Muscari 'Valerie Finnis'

Muscari is one of my favorite flowers for wedding work, especially wearables. It's incredibly long-lasting and comes in the prettiest shades.

Like many of you, I'm forever inspired by the work of Sue McLeary (aka Passionflower Sue). I actually started growing muscari after seeing this breathtaking headpiece she created. She notes that pale blue muscari is one of her favorite flowers (see more of her wearables here too), and Valerie Finnis, a densely packed, pale blue sport of M. armeniacum, totally fits the bill!

It didn't take long for muscari to become a favorite of mine too. One year, I had loads blooming weeks before a wedding and couldn't find much information about storing them, so naturally, I asked the gram😊. Rebecca from Moonshot Farm heeded my call and shared that they store muscari right on the bulb for up to six weeks in their cooler. AMAZING!

Needless to say, I've been adding to my muscari collection ever since. And now, I'm excited to be able to share them with you too!
