Greens, Red Malabar Spinach
Basella rubra
If you're a vertical grower or a fan of greens, you *must* try Red Malabar Spinach!
This unique green is actually heat loving, say what? Vigorous climbing vines thrive from summer into fall, with glossy, thick, savoyed leaves that resemble spinach. Use the tender leaves and young stems in salads or stir-fries. It requires support but will easily climb any trellis. Plus, stem tip cuttings can be rooted, overwintered indoors, and transplanted again the following year—or kept as a houseplant!
Packet contains approximately 75 seeds.
