Scabiosa 'Salmon Rose'
Scabiosa atropurpurea
Scabiosa, or Pincushion flower, is one of my all-time favorites for both the garden and floral design. Extremely prolific and versatile, it adds an antique quality to bouquets and arrangements. Immature flower heads are also great for small design work, like wearables. Playful stems are easy to weave in and out of designs, yet tough enough for market bouquets. In the garden, it attracts endless pollinators—especially butterflies. A must-grow!
Our collection includes my favorite colors. Salmon Rose has gorgeous rosey-coral hues. While Fata Morgana has a cult-like following, some are disappointed that a percentage of its blooms are buttercream, preferring the blush-salmon. Now, personally, this is what I (along with many designers) adore about her (that range of antique hues), but if you are looking for something without any cream, Salmon Rose is your gal. I love both.
Packet contains approximately 50 seeds.
