I will *never* understand why CJ isn't as wildly popular as some of the *very* similar so-called unicorns out there (but at a fraction of the price, super productive, and great tuber producer). Smokey raspberry and dusty mauve with *slight* peach undertones; much like Jowey Winnie, she displays different colors through the season, going pastel in cool weather, at least in our climate (see photos). Caitlin's Joy is incredibly productive, reliable, weather and pest resistant, a great tuber producer, and is the perfect size for design and market bouquets. I honestly cannot say enough!
My understanding is that CJ is a sport of Cornel (along with Cornel Bronze, Ivanetti, and Isabel). It's no surprise she has similar stellar qualities.
CJ captures attention, but you know, in a subtle effortless way, and she only gets better with age. Love her with 'Rosanne Terracotta' Lisianthus, Diabolo Ninebark, Feverfew, 'Black Knight' Scabiosa, and 'White Nite' Sunflowers for a refined, moody fall palette.
